  Events such as this terrorist attack always take me back to the quote from Agent Smith. I can only shake my head in despair realizing what we have become. This guy, Omar Mateen, goes to a gay bar and kills 49 people, and is then killed by the SWAT team that stormed the club. According to his dad, he expressed outraged after seeing two men kissing in Miami, which could be the reason he went on a killing spree. Yes, that makes perfect sense—I don’t like what I see, then, the best course of action is going on a killing spree. How messed up must your mind be to think and act like that. That is what radicalism does to you. You stop to think and start acting like a rabid animal. And what do you do with a rabid animal? I believe you put it to sleep.

• In a country like ours life imprisonment till death, unfortunately, is not enough for rapists. Life imprisonment or life imprisonment till death will not deter many men for raping a woman. Rape, in many parts of our country, is used by men as a weapon against women to “put them in their right place”. Hence, in my opinion, a much more stringent measure needs to be put in place to deter these folks. Some men act like animals… a rabid animal. And what do you do with a rabid animal? I believe you put it to sleep. In a separate article, I will write about an incident at Taj Mahal that I was a witness to ages ago.
